The sad news came to Red Cloud
this week, of the death of Robert
Sccley, aged I'.i years, 11 months and
7 days old. He was the son of Mr.
and Mrs. C. E. Secley formerly of
Red Cloud. ar,d well-known here. He
was a bright boy and his death was a
severe blow to his devoted parents and
friends. Their friends in Red Cloud
extend their sympathy to the bereav
ed parents in their hour of sorrow.
The bosses of the independent par
ty are telling over the county that
Prof. Hunter "told the teachers to
pool if they wanted better wages."
The facts arc that the statement is
false. What Mr. Hunter did say
was that if teachers expected to eet
better wages, they must study hard
and become qualified, but then one
must not expect the windependents to
tell the truth. Tbey magnify mole
