V. S. Hall sold the lumber for the
Baptist church, he also sold a bill to

has been settled, the water was higher
than the old settlers ever saw it.
Tie crops look bad, the small
grain is nearly all destroyed by hail,
the corn aad potatoes are cut very
badly.

and Miss Wright a pair of large beau
tiful vases. We learn with regret
that Mr. Probasco will not teach here
next year, for he goes to Grand Island,
where he has accepted a position in
the school.
Mr. Danburg's house was struck by
lightning Tuesday night, the family
received a sligt shock,
