In Aberdeen I ran across an old
man who glories ia an experience
with Mr. Greely, to the story of which
erery one who meets him is expected
to listen. He was an Iowa pioneer.
He had lired in New England, and
once he heard Mr. Greeley lecture on
the west. That settled him. He
took a .homestead in Iowa, near a lit
tle town which he soon came to look
upon as the best and grandest opot
on the footstool. While visiting New
York afterwards he thought he woold
call on Mr. Greely and tell hiji about
