Minutes of the last two meetings read and approved. The county treasurer's report of re ceipts and disbursements for the six months ending June 30th, 1888. to gether with report of committee up proving the same presented to the board and on motion said report was accepted and approved by the follow ing vote: Yeas Hampton, Barcus, Groves, Riley, Thomas, Cox, Coon, Hummel, Berg, Kaley. Garber, Fassler, Wells, Gather and Noble. Nay Men delbaiira. On motion the contract for the re pair of the Guide ltock bridge was let to R. S. FroudEt for the sura of $500, repairs to be made according to plans and specifications on tile with the county clerk. Bond of R. S. Proudlit and W. T. Auld for 81C00, guarantee ing faithful performance of eoutracl was approved. Remonstrance from citizens of Wal nut creek township for action of county board ou proposed bridge on line be tween sections 20 and 29, town one, range twelve, presented to the board and action was indefinitely postponed. On motion plans and speeitications for a bridge in Glenwood township across the Little Blue between sections 7 and 18, town 4, range 11, was turned over to the supervisor of said township with instructions to let contract and superintend the construction of the same. Report of J. II. Bai'.ey county clerk of fees received and disbursed for the quarter ending June 50. 1888, approved. Report of F. A. Swcezy of receipts of fees for quarter ending June SO, ap proved, as was also report of Eva J. King, county superintendent, for same time. The following report came before the board: We your committee author ized by the county board June 20, 1888, to examine the site and need of a bridge between towns one and two, range 12, on the west branch of Farmers creek, recommend an appropriation of $200 or as much thereof as may be necessary to build a bridge 34 feet long, 8 teet high and sixteen feet wide, to be adver tised and let as soon as possible. A. H. Kalkt, Wm. Irons. Report of committee accepted and approved. Petition for a road running on sec tion line between sections 9 and 10. 3J and 4, town 2, range 11, signed by C. B. Crone and others, presented to the board and right of war being granted by owners of land adjoining, board ordered the road opened. The following official bonds were now ay proved by the board: O. V. McCrary, town clerk Walnut creek township; John C. Grove, O. H. R. D. No. 22; Joseph Topham O. H. R. D. No. 53; A. H. Vandberg, O. H. R. D. No. 10. Board now adjourned to meet August 8th. at 9 o'clock a.m. standing that the land owners grant the right of way free of expenses to the county. The following resolution came before the hoard and was adopted: Red Cloud, August 8th, 1888. Whereas, there is a vast destruction done to the farraers'of Webster county by wolves, wild cats and coyotes, and whereas the statutes provides that by a petition signed by lift' legal voters of the county addressed to the county board of supervisors, praying that said board submit the proposition at the next general election to the legal voters of the county for the purpose of paying a bounty on all wolves, wild cats and coyotes as directed by general statutes of Nebraska. Wherefore be it resolved that such petition be circulated throughout the different townships and presented to the board of county supervisors at their meeting in October next.
