On last Monday evening a serious
pounding affair took place at the resi
dence of the pastor of the Methodkt
Episcopal churca. The minister and
family were sitting very quietly in the
parsonage, north cf the church, atten
ding to the uual routine doties of the
household, when suddenly the door
opened and a large number of people
