It seems that congressman Laird
has not forgotten his constituents of
the Republican Valley, as advices
from Washington state that he has
been making strenuous efforts to se

through to Denver. As it now is mail
for Denver and the west, from all
points in the valley, has to pass over
the B. t M. to Hastings and lay over a
day, then be taken to Kearney and
transferred to the U. P. road foi Den
