have the rain, and such a disagrcahle

There is -onto of the prettiest land
here and if- man don't get rich here
it i- surely his own fault. Nice timber
grows in every hollow ami the moun
tains are covered with oak. hickory,
pecan, vc. Nut-5 grow in profu-ion,
pecan- bring from $4 to t4J)0 per
bushel, and as the land has not yet
Iktu divided the mot of the trees nre
common property. Huckleberries and
black berries, especially the latter, arc
very plentiful. Apples arc doing well
here, one man living near here la.-t
season raised two or three thousand
bushel
