GREETING.
To tho "excursionists of tho Iowa
Press Association," now luxuriating
in the biutious scenery and clear
mountain air of our young sister state
of Colorado, and contemplating break
fafeting at the Red Cloud eating house,
the morning of the1!5 inst. It becomes
our very pleasant privilege, by the
approval . of the good people
of Rod Cloud, to notify
you, and our vicinity, by tho issue of
this little extka of their purpose to
profler your party on its arrival here
at that time, what they deem a fiting
reception and welcome, and to escort
it through the business part of our lit
tle town without any particular delay
to the progress of yqiir train.
We propose to meet your train at
the depot with our cornet band, and
comfortablo carriages, and while one
section of your party are feasting, and
the other fasting as they inevitibly
must be to drive through town, the
lasting section, and while they feaat
the ruminating section in same way.
Gentlemen, should yon eoacur in
this arrangement, we feel that it will
more than give our people ptcaeare
to welcome yoa to oar place, and tic
with each other to so entertain you
during your Tcry brief stay with us. as
that you may take with you pleasant
thoughts of us, and benedictory,
thoughts concerning us,and the homes
we have'ehosen between yours and the
setting sun.
We also submit for your consider

town's history.
