We thought when wo got up alout day-light last Thursday morning, no body could be happier than wc. We were contemplating how very profuse our good old friend Providence had been in the bestowal of his special gifts. We were dreaming of all tho happiness that should come to us as a ancinltcr of Nebraska's next legislature. when Bufus Miksh, his face all adow with smiles and excitement, said, they had a fight down at his house the night leforc, but came off victorious and took in a loyal Union boy of 10 pounds weight, and as he left us we felt that there was one happier man than we, and that if we were in hi, boots wc might be as happy as he. When we consider the tender, affectionate, christian int erest this woman took in the recovery of our own dead wife in her lingering lapse of illness hist winter, we mourn her as a very dear friend. Wo will doubtless over remember the touching tenderness of her words to us one day "For your sake, I hope she may be be spared." God we trust will keep and bless all such angel-minded spirits.
