Somebody had taken and sold it to the man in possession, for the magnificent sum of fifty cents, the bar being worth five or six dollara. Mr. Lutx got to studying the matter, and being a good loyal citizen of Webster county, concluded to retain the iron as county property, and offered to refund the money expended, which offer was refus ed, whereupon Mr. L. stated that he would not give up the property till his charge for hauling was paid, and eoory informed the other party to pay $8.00 which was refuse i, and a rush made for tho wagon whick waa repelled in good style, by Mr. Lots. Finally the matter was compromised by the payweat of $1.50 aad the county property brosght to Red Cloud aad taraed wner to the county.
