The editor, as we suppose all our
readers know, is absent, but we think
that, when he gets home and finds hu
family increased by a new arrival, in the
form of a young lady weighing cine
pounds and a-lialf, ha will be so rejoiced
that he can write editorials for fun.
As tlif pc young men were riding in
the suburbs a few evenings since, their
team of unruly mules took tho -bit, and
commenced circle riding, evidently try
ing a circa performance. After trying
in vain to get them on tho tight track,
the wheel roiled under tho wagon-bed,
and rolled a civil engineer, and a base
ball captain over and over until they
lighted on the ground some seven feet
from their seat. FortunaUy non'a were
badly injured, though they had a narrow
escape.
We would oall the attention of our
readers to tho amended timber act which
