Combustion en sues most rapidly with 17 gr. of wadding and 07 gr. of a strong oil - varnish, in thirty-four minutes; while 200 gr. of washed cotton w aste, of which a poitiou was saturated with 7"J gr. of stong oil varnish and the remainder wrapped ulout it, required almost fourteen hours.
