The Herald paid a short visit to the grounds near Greenwood on Tues day. AVe found tho brethren very pleasantly situated in a bend of Salt Creek about one mile from Greenwood station, Cass County, Nebraska. The Camp Meeting, as it is called, is under the auspices of the " Xeb. State Holiness Association" It commenced last Wednesday and closed yeslerdu', and lias been very successful. On Sunday the Ilev. Dr. Fisher preached at 1 1 o'clock A. m., Drother Henderson, of Lincoln in the after noon. J'rother Davis, Hlder at Xeb. City in the evening. JSesides this the dav was full v occupied. There were services at 5 o'clock, a. m., and at 8 and 10 a.m. Childrens meeting at 1:30. Services at 3 i. m. and at G i M., young people's meeting, very interesting con ducted ly 1'iof. McKinzie. Services again at 8 in the evening. We met during our short visit the llev. Mr. Dlackburn, of this place, and many brethren of the M. I. Church. We had a very pleasant Dejeuner, literally, (a little dinner) with Mrs. Spurlock, and came home impressed with the idea that our Methodist friends are able to reach a class and make at horn? an element in our pop ulation that no other religions denom ination has yet reached, so fully and I so happily. Prof. Martind.de, our County Supt. came in from Wauhoo, on Tuesday, w here he had been to visit sick rela tives. His Institute at Weeping Wa ter closes this week. Mr. Fleming, of the firm of Fleming !c Race, Weeping Water, called upon the IItkald Tuesday on his return from Chicago where he has been with his wife for medical treatment. We regret we were not in to enjoy a chat. Capt. H. E. Palmer and wife started for Colorado on Tuesday last. They go in company with a portion of Mr. Kimball's family of Omaha. Mrs. Iloldrege, and Mrs. Calvert, and the party will spend some weeks among the pleasure resorts of Colorado. O. P. Austin, of the Cincinnati En quirer and wife, are visiting their pa rents in and near Piattsmouth. Mr. A. is a son of Mr. B. Twenty-two years age he moved to Nebraska and was conse quently one of the oldest settlers. He had three children living, Andy Tutt, Mrs. Register, and John Tutt, present County Clerk of this county. The funer al took place on Thursday at 2 v. M., services by Elder Mullis, of the Chris tian Church. The on'y-brother of Mr. Tutt now living John II. Tutt is eighty-one years of age, and the two old gentlemen had been companions to eagh other, even as children again, sel dom being far separated.
