Camp Meeting at Eight 5Iilo GroTe.
Commenced August 2nd and contin
ued three weeks. Able ministers were
present throughout the meeting. Tlev.
Wm. Hass, of .Seward, a very able sneak
er, preached the second Sabbath. Ilev.
E. II. E. Jarie3on. of Omaha, the fa
mous revival singer, attend d for three
days. Sabbath before last the crowd
was larger than at any previous meet
ing, the pastor. Rev. J. A. Hudson,
preached the sermon, and his efforts
were highly spoken of. Mr. I). S. Dra
per, thinking he might assist the Socie
ty in paying off the minister, proposed
furnishing everything and giving half
the profits on anything sold to the
church, the result has not been a finan
cial success, although spiritually it is
to be hoped good has been accomplish
ed. The total profits of the stand dur
ing the meeting has been $27.70, half
of which goes to the church. Mr. Hud
son, as we understand, is considerably
disappointed. It seems he has paid
$100 on the church debt, and is now
paying another hundred, that he has
only received 8100 for preaching since
he came to Nebraska, and that he needs
what lie lias paid out, and earned since,
badly. He was offered 75 for his in
terest in half the profits, at the com
mencement, but did not accept, expect
ing to realize $100. He gives Mr. Dra
per the credit of having done the best
lie could, in fact, says he has done well,
but, expenses look the profits. As there
was considerable curiosity to know the
financial result of the meeting we took
pains to ascertain, and give them as re
ceived from reliable authority. The
above came in too late for publication
last week.

It 1 a duty ever' man ',wcs to himself and to
those Interested with hint to know the coadl
dition of the title to hl property. It Is a fact
well known to the tegnl profession, and to real
estate dealers, that thousands of the improved
and unimproved farms of this western country,
have Imperfect titles ; much expense and liti

ined and perfected, at once, and before proper
ty reaches eastern fliitre In value, when ques
tionable titles become more difficult to remedy.
All prisons claiming title to lands hhould ob
tain the United States Patent and have it re
