It is a fdll and truthful history of the famous Dcecher-Tilton-Woodhull scandal, including comprehensive and entertaining biographical sketches of Henry Ward Beechei', Theodore Tilton, Victoria C. Woodhull, Tennie C. Claf liu and Colonel Blood. Illustrated with life-like portraits, and giving facts and incidents in the lives of all of them never before published The prominent pos-ition occupied by the parties involved in this great So cial Drama of the age. has given to it an almost world-wide notoriety, and the partial and fragmentary reports of it which have been published, have only served to whet the appetite of the reading public with a desire to have the whole story truthfully and impar tially told. The author has done this, but in such a manner as not to do injustice to any of the dramatis persona; or to shock of offend the most fastidious reader. The author claims, and we think justly, to have had peculiar fa cilities for his work, having been for years personally acquainted with those of whom he Writes. The sketch of Henry Ward Beecher (the advance sheets of Which have been submitted to several of the leading journalists and authors in the West) is unanimously declared to be the best and moat entertaining sketch of this foremost clergyman of tho age ever written, and all the biographies are en livened by characteristic and enter taining incidents and anecdotes never before published, and are written in a free, racy and unhackneyed style. There are included in the work, co pious extracts from the speeches and writings of -The Woodhull," giving an epitome of her peculiar views upon her favorite topic of Free Love, So cial Freedom, and tho Social Utopia which she hopes to establish. Tho book is printed from clear new type, and upon superior paper, in one large octavo volume of about 400 pages, and its style is alike creditable to the author, artist and publishers. It is bound in fine English muslin, li brary style, with gilt back and sides. Price 83. It is sold only by Canvassing Agent3 and cannot be procured at tha stores. Wo should think what the publish ers assert is true, that tins is one of the best selling boolis ever issued, and those who desire employment for the winter should secure an outfit for this work, which will be sent by the pub lishers upon receipt 6f 75 cents. Tlirrc is no pain which the Centaur I.ininu.iit will hot re lieve, no swelling it will not sulxiiie, and no lameness which it w ill not cure. This is strong language, but it is true. Where the parts are not jrone. its effects are marvellous. 1 1 has produced more cures of rheumatism, neu- jjCTT.psc ralia, lock-jaw, p:ilsy, sprains, swelling, ear-ache, cakeil-breasts, scalds, bums, salt-rheum, t'c, upon the human frame, and of strains, , spavin, galls, &e., upon animals in- one year than have al other pretended remedies since the world began. It is a counter-irritant, an all-healing pain -reliever. Cripples throw away their crutches, the lame walk, poisonous bites are ren dered harmless, and the wounded are healed without a scar. It is no humbug. The reeipe is selling as no article ever before sold, and it sells because it does just what it pretends to do. Those who now suffer from rheumatism, pain or swelling deserve to suiter if they will not use Centaur Liniment, more than 1000 certificates of remarkable cures, including frozen limbs, chronic-rheumatism, gout, running tumours, &c. have been received.
