Wo are sorry to say that the fanners

Often does he raise his eyes
Where the little sleeper lies.
Watching carefully his prize ;

Heard alone by IIim on hgh ;

Swiftly o'er the furrowed ground,
Swift as light from Heav'n unbound.
Files the father ; hear that sound :
"Oh, Iiena V'
Upright on her rustic bed.
Fiery flame, fierce, hot and red,
Circling tiny form and head.
Stands Lena.
Quick the father grasps his child ;
While her accents soft and mild :

GBAS!H0PrEUS ARE C03IING.
The grasshopper's have really made
their appearance in the counties west
and north of ns. . The Seward and
Fillmore Co. papers speak of them as
passing over in immense clouds, while
the Fremont and West Point papers
say they lit at these points and are
already doing some damage although
the inhabatants fondly hope their stay
will lie short; Letters from friends in
Burt nnd Cumming Co. say the grass
hoppers have "arriv" and are making
bad work with their gardens. At this
wi lling their numbers do not set'ia to
have been so great as- to have attacked
the? crois in tho fields, but there is no
telling at what moment a fresh and
hungry horde -may alight - and clean
every green thing1 from before them.'

There is no pain which tho bentaui liniment
will not relieve, no swelling It will dot subdue,
and no lameness which it will not cure. This Is
strong language, tut it Is true. W'hee the parts
are not gone. Its effects are marvellous. It has
produced more cures of rheumatism, neuralgia,
lock-jaw, palsy, sprains, swellings, ear-ache,
csiked-breasts, scalds, burns, salt-rheum, &.,
ujHn the human frame, and of strains, spavin,
galls. &c., upon animals in one year than have
a'l other pretended remedies since the woild
began. It Is a counter-irritant, an all-healing
pain-reliever. Cripples throw away their
crutches, the lame walk, poisonous bites are ren
dered harmless, and the wounded are healed
without a scar. It Is no humbug. The recipe is
selling as no artiel evet- before sold-, nnd it sells
because it does Just what It pretends to do.
