On Saturday evening last an enthusi
astic little squad of enterpri ing citizen-i
met at the Court House to tee what
could be done about a Fire Biigade in
the town of Plattsmouth.
'We publish the minutes of the meet
ing below nni earnestly ask that our best
citizens aid us in this work. It is a
much needed improvement.

ceedings were had, to-wit:
On motio t, J. A. MacMurphy, P. R.
Livingston and J. W. Marshall were ap
pointed a committee to solicit subscrip
tion in aid cf the Fire Brigale.
On motion, J. A. Connor .and Prof.
d'Allennnd were appointed a committee
to coricspond with the different manu
facturing companies relative to tho price
of Hani Engines.
On motion, F. Stadter and II. J.
Streight were appointed a com rait tee
to solicit aid from the citizens of Platts
mouth. '
On motion, a committee on By-Laws
was appointed, to-wii : R- It. Livings
ton, J. A. Connor, F. MacDonagh, A.
d'AIlemaikl and F. Stadter, to draft
same and report at next meeting of this
organization.
On motion, it was agreed that when
we adjourn we adjourn to meet on next
Saturday night, and that the committee
on subscription be authorized to get
posters printed calling a meeting.
