The memorial of our citizens to the
City Council has obtained a va-t number
of signers praying that an avenue L
opened from the junction of 7ih and
1'earl streets, to the town limits in a
southwesterly direction. We cannot see
how our authorities can do better than to

This avenue will do away with the in
terminable repair of numerous bridge
which would have to be constructed ii
