VT4-H mil vroilK Thonipson Bisscll has the largest crop out 250 acres. There are five men in the county who have over 100 acres of nut. tirnl two linvft over !?0O acres. There is about 3H) acres of com, of which Joe Nc.-bit, Esq., has 120 acres th largest crop in the county. There have been about 700 breaking plows sold into the county the present season, which, with an average of 25 acres to the plow, will break 17,500 acres. The largest number of homesteads ta ken in this county in one day was (4u) forty, and the total number this season is aoout i,(xu. The lartzcst cattle raiser in the count v is Thompson Hissell, who keeps about 2i h) head. The largest wool grower is Moses Stocking, who has about 1,200 head of sheen. The subject of tree culture isreeeiing considerable attention, but as yet no very extensive forests liave been planted. The largest in the county was planted by and is tno property ot Judge AlarbiO: it con sists of 1 8 acres. Many are turning their attention to fruit culture on a small scale.
