At the Court-House Republicans.
Mr. Luiwig, who taught a class in
book keeping here some time ago, is in
town for a .few weeks. Should any of
our young men desire to take a few les
sons, in book-keeping we doubt not Mr.
Ludwig would consent to teach them, al
though cot here on that business.
Commissioner Hohlsobuh is always on
the lookout, and keeps tbe streets la as
good repair as it could be done under the
circumstances, ne has been repairing the
bridge on Second street, and thus sates
a heavy expense which must soon here
been incurred in the absence of repairs.
We learn that Mr. Latta's Mill, at Rock
Bluffs, will bo ready for grinding about
tbe 1st of August. The mill building id
not as large as many in the State, but
tbe machinery is arranged in the most
convenient aad compact style, and will
undoubtedly do excellent work.
