W hed a meetin last nite to consider this nijjer question, wich wood hev resuhd in great good, and hed a pow erful inflooence toward strengthenin the hands uv our brethren in the North, who are fightin the heresy of nigger crTrae, hed it not bin for that irriu ihen, rlleck. Rnd that pest, Joe 13i ler. I hed made my regler speech on th nijgr, and with rHch effect. Finally Joe Biglar said he sa.v Napo leon Jphnson, a nigger wich wunst be lenged to Deckin lVgram, ia tha nwji ente. "Napoleon," sed he, "will yoo cootribbitt yoorself to the grual science ur ethnology? "Wat in thunder's the yoosa of ci pheriu, when tho old man al.'uz kep a nigger to do his figgerin?" "Set down, Issaker. We're done with yoo. There's a error sumwhere. And Pollock and Bigler and the nig gers present left the meetin house, lafun uproarously, and throwin all sens of adoos back ta us. I doubt whether the result of the in- reetigashen will help ourfriends North. Tha fact is, it was overdone. It war carried too fur. There is a point at wich facts ought to stop Dimekratic facts in partikeler. In this instance, the inreitigashen sheod never hev bin carried byond ike heel. Had it s'.opt there, we woes' hr hnd em.
