one yearn, of Pneumonia, complicated
with disease of the heart.
Mr Holtnos was formerly of New York,
bjt came to Nebraska for the r urpose of
making it h a home. He belonged to the
Fraternity of Odd Fellows et Rock Bluffs,
who, aftt r attending his funeral ov eequies
and paying the last tribute of respect to
a deceased brother, passed the following
resolutions :
Resoliu, That in the death of Bro. E.
M Holmes, the lodge has lost a consist
ent and faithful Brother, and tho com
munity a good and ttpr.ght citizen; who,
having recently arrived at the years of
manhood, promised ere long to take a
prominent place in society.

ally his aged father, have our deepest
smypathies the former in the loss of a
kind and affectionate brother, and the
