again yesterday, .Josiah Moore E.q., being
the victim. The Sq'iire. however, was
soon on tho right track, anu found his
dry-goods nicely stowed away under the
bed. He persuaded her ladyship she
could get along without them, and then
gave her a little cood advice, showing
her the impropriety of appropriating
other people's property. AVe have a jail
made purposely for the aeconrnodation
of such characters, and would suggest
the propriety of her taking lodging in it,
especially about '-washing days." It is
rather bold to go and relieve a clothes
line in the broad liht of the day, in fair;
view of fifty different houses, and the
perpetrator of such an act should be
dealt with according to the law, whether
male or female.

Omaha Inst Saturday evening, nnd
speeches were made by sevral distin
guished orators, among the list of whom
we notice the name of J. I. Early,
Esq., of this city. One of the objects
of the meeting nppears to have been to
raise funds for defraying lhe-expens
es of fifty-six recruits for the Fenian army
to Iowa City, where tranportation await
