Wo Were it'll longing Ujfimf-that town, and Hie surruttiiiliugjmniry, so a rosoltlon was passed thaLSoTlr Httlo company would take Hut t,r"jtfn t4io 10th." Well we were all Itiixlous for night to come so wo might go on that pleasant trip tho next day. Wo talked ot all we wuio going to flee and do on that trip. Karly on the morning of tho 10 th we started, our trip to Auburn was about fifteen miles, we drove by fields of corn and wheat and nwiiy beautiful places until we came to the faun and rcidonco of Mr. John Maloy, a well-to-do fanner Ttml fruit-crowcr of Nemaha county, residing two and a half miles north west of North Auburn. To our idea and those of many others, ho has the most beautiful and best improved faun in Nemaha county. As wo camo fioin the north the first wo mot was il beau tiful peach and apple orchard of about ten acres, tho trees looked handsome and just such a position to that south, is his old peach orchard of ton acrja, which shows it has done service for our friend, for it is fast dying out, but still appeals to have a good many peaches on it. The whole farm is en closed with a heavy locust hedge, but in fiont of the orchards and house, which we uoxt meet tlio hedge looks beautiful, it is so nicely trimmed that it shows its owner has' good skill iu trimming hedges. South of the house is two beautiful apple orchuids of about live acres each, which looks too handsome to bo expressed iu woids. Our friend has all his orchards nicely sown with blue grass and timothy which aids in tho looks very much, and much more when mown, as it was standing real high and promising its owner good hay. In driving by the house we halted and went very slowly so that wo could see all that was possi ble to see. Tho house is a white frame house- and shows by its appearance its occupants are neat, tasty, and tako groat pleasure in beautifying their homo. Over tho porch is a beautiful twining rose With tho bloomimr gera niums beneath it, and over the front door ho has a "mass stylo" which our teacher in history used to tell us so much about, ono of those porticoes, which was also filled with geraniums, and by the looks of tho front Si havo tho iden that it will soon in blucmass as (ho orchards tr had iust been plowed, how beautiful iU will look then. On gazing on tho outdoor scenory wo wero almost tempt ed to call in to tako h peep inside for wo know it must bo just as nicely fixed and furnished as the farm and yard. If wo thought that Miss Jonnio and Anna weio a homo wo would surely, for wo wore always classmates together at the Normal and loved each other as broth ers and sisters. Oh I how we would like to have mado a call on them and talked over our school days at tho Normal, of all tho pleasant and some hard times together getting our les sons. It is so long slnco wo liavo seen them, our hearts wero s.nd arter we passed tho gate that wo did not stop oven for live minutes and see if they wero at home, but our trip was bo lim ited for our ride. Hut had tho'so ap ples, peaches and pears which we saw, and blackberries and other fruit which wo know ho must havo, been ripo, wo could not hayo resisted the temptation, but rest assured wo will tako another trip when tnen they get. ripe.
