Franco, president of the Savings Bank at St. .Too, is about as mean as Richmond, for writing a letter indorsing him, and which materially assisted him in his dishonorable busi ness. Wo wero delighted to greet Hon. C. M. Haydeu and wifo and Miss Hatliti Smith, parents and sister of Mrs. Aria Fail-brother, who arrived in this city from Concordia, Kansas, Friday even ing. They came across tho country by team and had a splendid trip, except ing on tlie second day out when they oncountored a small cyclone, which did them no damago other than to blow the cover off their wagon and give them a good drenching. Mr. II. re turned as far as Beatrice on Saturday, but tho ladies will remain and visit with friends for somo time.
