Will te played at McPherson Hall next Sat
urday evenlnpr, March 6th.
The game to be played is 1,000 points, on i
carom, or second-size lour pocket table. Tho
players are both first-class, Mr. Sloan proba
bly having the advantage of experience, yet
Mr. Yalleau, of this city, is one of tbe finest
players In the State, and will make the game
tcry interesting, it he does not succeed In
wresting the cue from Mr. Kloun. We are
fully satisfied that the game is fair and above
board, aud we learn that Mr. Valleau's
friends arc prepared to back him strong. Ar
rangements have been made to have J. W.
Coon, champion push-barred player of the
Northwest, present, who will, at the conclu
islon of tho game, exhibit a series of fancy
shots which will M-ell repay the lovers of the
came to see. MeFherson Hall has been ob
tained Sn order to give the public a pleasura
ble entertainment, and the expenses neces
sarily incurred will make it necessary to
chartro on admittance fee. which will bo
fifty cents, which v.ill also protect those go
lug from the Jam, crowd and inconvenience
of a public game. A large delegation of the
lovers of tho game have premised to be down
from Omaha. A pleasant time and an Inter
estlng game will bo the result, and we hope
will be well attended. The silver cornet band
will play outside, and Btrkly's string band
has been engaged to play in the Hall.

the lamps lit regularly. Next to a railroad,
nothing g'ves n city more credit or u more
business-like and cheerful a?pect, than to

rather lose fifty times the amount in ques
