The Culvert under Main St., between
Levee and First, is rapidly giving way, the
last rain having caused about fifteen feet of
the south end to cave In. This was apprehen

the arguments for cutting through Atlantic

ought to le made available immediately for

The Union Corn Planter has become an
established success, because it Is a correct
and reliable dropper, a light draft machine, a
more convenient and easier working planter,
one that will do its work better and more
perfectly than any other now in nse, for proof
of which, wo refer to ten thousand manufac

Such Improvements have been added as have
been demonstrated to be useful, and which
will keep the Union Corn Planter, in the fu

purit tml Bradley's Sulkey Ha y Rake
The only really practical and successful
roke--is acknowledged to have no equal, and
can truly be called the King of ail Rake. It
numbers Its friends nearly by ten thousand,
and not one of them dissatisfied, nor one rake
ever returned. It is more simple In its con
struction, has no superfluities, and not liable
to get out of order. It is very easily opera
ted, as a boy twelve years of age can work It
with perfect ease. On rough ground it far
exeeta all others, because It iseonsTructrd in
such, a manner that the whole weight of the
head with twenty teeth rests on any one
tooth, and the teeth, by having a double coll
above, are much stronger and-tnore elastic
than others ; and In consequence of this It
will rake or bunch" up where no other rake
can, and Is 6trong enough to rake corn stalks
off the field, for which purpose many of these
rakes have been sold, and they give entire
satisfaction. Sold by F, A. Tisdel, Jr., & Co.
