Reynolds, City Attorney, The committee to fix the bridge cn 2d street reported that heavy rains and high water had forced the embankment and drained ' off the pond, and that a new bridge is needed. On motion the Mayor was authorized to receive proposals and let contracts for building bridges on 2d, 3d, 4th and 5th streets, dimensions, 62 feet long 10 feet high and 3 feet net in the clear, the bottom, sides a,nd top to be planked, to be so constructed as to dam the water gradually as the land "above filh up.
