Pasdock, calling for two companies cf cavalry, he has received a dispatch from the Secretary of War ac cepting two more companies, making a squadron cf four companies, to bo attach ed to our Rcgiuent of Infantry. Three companies have already been accepted by the Governor, and others are being offered. H? has no doubt but that a full Regiment could be mustered here if nil could be received that ofi'er themselves from Western Iowa and Northern Mis souri. After the present dangerous crisis in Missouri is passed, a portion of our Regi ment at least will undoubtedly be return ed to protect our own frontier. Stirring Them Up. It will be recollected that the Tele graph some time ago announced that P.. F. Wilson had been dispatched west by the Treasury department as special agent to look after the accounts of ex-ofTicial?. The following we find in the St. Paul (Minn.) Press : "Mr. P. F. 'Wilson, special agent of the Treasury Department, has picked tp 21,745 among the lame ducks of the late administration connected with land offices thereabouts. Mr. Wilson has been in the service during five adminis trations." Reckon Peter will be "around" in Ne braska soon, among the "lame ducks." Wouldn't be surprised if he finds some very "lame ducks" out here perhaps, both legs and wings broken. ''Walt lor the waon." EcniOYC'J. In oraer to ensure thorough organiza tion and system throughout the command, Captains of Companies are required to return to these Head Quarters, at orce, complete muster rolls of their respective Companies, giving the actual strength of each. In issuing arms to the Companies, no more will be issued than the actual number of men belonging to them. Commandants of Companies will there fore, be particular that their muster-rolls have no names upon them, but such as are active members of their commands, and in all cases the muster-rolls must be certified on honor. The formation of a German Company to be armed with scythes, was lately ad vocated in New York During the war of 1S12 a man who lived in Portsmouth, in. II., who upon hearing an alarm that the foe were landing, armed himself with a scythe, and was met early rext morn ing trudging towards the seaboard, and on being asked the object of his strange conduct, replied, "The British have land ed at Portsmouth, and Em going down there to cut an' cripple like bed d." Mr. Holt cf Kentucky in a late speech to the Kentucky soldiers in Indiana said.
