We have received from a kind friend in Pawnee County, the detailed proceed ings of a county meeting held at Pawnee City, April 21th, and May 11th, togeth er with a most excellent and patriotic speech delivered by Judge Fowler. We regret that we cannot find room for the whole, but our paper is to nearly filled with telegraphic reports that we cannot. The following are the preamble and res olutions unanimously adopted. "Whereas, believing, as we do, that resistance to the General Government, let it it come from what source it may, is (reason. And"believing, as we do, that the seceeding States of this Union, in taking possession of the United Slates property, and insulting the United States Hag, have committed a flagrant outrage ; and that the leading demagogues of such States, should Le dealt with ty the G'orern mcnt, as traitors, therefore, Resolved, 1. That we heartily concur in and endorse the proclamation of Pres ident Lincoln in calling on the different States, for soldiers to retake and repos sess the United Slates property. 2. That Maj. Anderson is entitled to the highest esteem of all loyal citizens and friends of the Union, for his patri otic, brave, and heroic defence of Fort Sumpter. 3. We approve and endorse the course pursued bythe Governors of the INorih ern States, and of Gov. Hicks, of Mary land, in calling the militia of their states to assist the President in executing the laws of the Government; but deprecate the treasonable and unpatriotic course of the governors of the Border Slave States in not obeying the proclamation of the President, by ordering out the militia to defenJ the Laws of the Union. 4. We think it judicious and expedi ent to organize a Military Company in this county to protect our citizens from invasion, come from what source it may. 5. No person shall be allowed to be come a member of the military compa ny in this county, who justifies cr sympa thizes with the South in their treasonable acts. esrr'--5 - t- - 3 a a i Furniture Manufactory. pinkie's JIMS Levi ELE just completed a fine mill building on -f Levee 1 in this citr. 32 hv 7-2. nnd is 1 J ' rutlmj up the machinery with which Saw mill rf ihi rirv firtf rlce 'e mediately commence the erec j on of a three tory merchant flouring ul, 40 by 70 near the saw mill, but run f r different set of machinery.
