Exhibition in this county was held in
School District No. 5, on Wednesday the
13th, E. K. SrouT Teacher. We un
derstand there was a large attendance,
about two hundred. The exercises, con
sitting ot Speeches, Dialogues, Compo.
siiions, Instrumental and Vocal Music,
&c, were interesting and gratifying to
all parties. We hope to hear of more
such in this county.

Fire at Nemaha City. We regret
to learn that Strong's Hotel in Nemaha
City was consumed by fire this morning.
It was a good building, and the loss must
be quite serious. Said to be about SI, 000
insurance on the building.
