is about midway between St. Jo. and Omaha. As
to distance, an examination of the niiip is all that

from here to tbe mines than from any other point
on the Missouri. On this route wood and wat r
abound theentire distance, while on many others,
wood has to be hauled for many days.
The foregoing facts are fully and satisfactorily es
tablished by the immense travel of last year, and
