ka. From it we find the number of chil
dren in Nebraska, between the ages of
fire and Iwenty-one years to be 5,767
rcales 2,399; females 2,368. No. of

32; distributed as follows: Nemaha
County 9, Otoe 2, Cass 5, Sarpy 2, Dix
on 3, Douglas 4, Dodge 2, Washington
4. Of Select Schools there are ten in
the Territory, viz : Cass 8, Cedar 2.

ken down by reporters, equal at least, to asy corps
of shorthand writers in tiii or any other country.
When the derates of the day do not make more than
forty-five columns, they shall appear ia the Globs
of thejnext morning, which will contain, sJao, ths
newj of the day, together with such editorial arti-
eles as paseiag evenU suggest. ,
The Conereiaional Glooa and Aroendix. will eea
tain a report of all the debates is Oonfiress, revised
by the Speakers, the Me3ages of the President of
the United States, tho Annual reports of thebtadi
of the hxecntire Cepartiaents, the Keports el com
mittees of Congress on important eubjecU of ga
oral interest, tha Laws pa&sed during the session,
and copious indexes to . all. These will be printed
on a double royal sheet, in book form, royal quarto

no book has ever bean Jpublisbed at so low a rate.
Last year I advertised ia the Daily Globe for six
months, and in about oce hundred ether newspa
pers ia thi United States, a reward to any person of
two hundred and forty-2Te dollars, who would pro
dsee a book published at so low a rate, and none
was produced. The large number . cf copies sub
scribed for by Congress enables me to afford the de
bates to subscribers so cheap. . .
The Congressional Glohe and Appendix pass free
through the mails of the United States, as will be
seen by reading the following joint resolution las
ted by Congress August 6, 18a2 :
