They are compounded not of the dntrs themselves, but of the medicinal virtues oriy A egctahlc remeuics, extracted by chemical process in a state of parity, ard combined together in such a manner ts to insure th'5 best results. "COMBINATION PATENT." UPRIGHT STEAM SA1V MIEE. This mill commands the universal admiration of saw mill men everywhere. As its merits become known, the demand for it increases. Orders are coming from every section of this country, Canada, Cuba, and South Ameri ca. It js suited for every section of the world wherever there is timber to be sawed, no matter of what character how hard, bow large or how email.' Two extensive ma nufactories are now encaged in building these mil Is, yet I it is almost imj'o.-sible t j turn them out as fast as they ! are wanted. They embrace several valuable patents and improvement?, and combine all of the following ad- Simpiicity Both the mill and power are so simple in their construction that anyone of ordinary mechanical ability can comprehend them, put them up and run them without danger or difficulty. Portability Tne whole establishment can he very quickly taken apart and put together, thus rendering it easy to be moved from place to place asdcuired. and sav ing the necessity of drawing the logs a long distance to Durability It is constructed in the most solid and substantial manner, runs perfectly still, is not liable to get ont of order, and will last for years without repair. Rapidity It will saw taster than any other upripht upright mill. The speed of the saw is about three hun dred strokes per minute, and the feed from one-ei?bta to three-quarters of an inch per stroke. Thus, at a medium speed the saw will cut through a log twenty-four feet long in about three minutes. From this data any one knowing the character of the timber can calculate how mufh it will do. EJTiicicncy It does its work well, cuts smoother and J straighter than the ordinary mills, and the arrangement of the saw is scch as to render it utterly impossible for it to run out of liuc. Cheapnen The entire iost of the mill, with fifteen horf e power and everything all complete and ready for running, hosed and ready for shipment in St. Louis, is only $l.7o0. This mill requires less power to drive than any other mill, and the power furnished is sufficient to drive extra machinery. Acircular containing full particulars will be sent to any one desiring it. Thehb has long existed a vihMe demand for t f effective purgative pill which could be relied on ts sure and perfectly safe in ita operation. Tilt hit ' been prepared to meet that demand, and aa wten. i sive trial of its -virtues has conclusively alownTi what success it accomplishes the purpose designed. It is easy to make a physical pill, but not easy t make the best of all pills one which should ktTt : none of the objections, but all the advantages, ! every other. This has been attempted here, tnj with what success we would respectfully submit to the public decision. It has been .unfortunate for the patient hitherto that almost evgry purgatiri medicine is acrimonious and irritating to the bom. . el3. This is not. Many of them produce so : griping pain and revulsion in. the system as to tnort than counterbalance the good to be derived fron them. These pill produce no irritation or unless it arise from a previously existing obstroe. . tion or derangement in the bowels. Being party vegetable, no harm can arise from their use in ut quantity ; but it is better that any medicine saonli be taken judiciously. Minute directions for their use in the several diseases to which they are p. plicable are given on the box. Among the com. plaints which have been speedily cured by them,t may mention Liver Complaint, in its various foraa of Jaundice, Indigestion. Languor and Loss of Ap. petite, Listlessness, Irritability, Bilious lieadach Bilious Fever, Fever and Ague, Pain in the Side and Loins ; for, in truth, all these are but the coa- sequence of diseased action in the liver. As u aperient they afford prompt and sure relief in Cev tiveness, Piles, Colic, Dysentery, Humors, Scrofuk and Scurvy, Colds with soreness of the body, Ulctn and impurity of the blood. Irregularities ; in short, any and every case where a purgative is required. They have also produced some singularly iue cessful cures in Rheumatism, Gout, Droney, Gruel, Erysipelas, Palpitation of the Heart, Pains in the Back, Stomach, and Side. They should be freely taken in the spring of the ye.r, to purify the blood and prepare the system for the change of seasons. An occasional dose stimulates the stomach wi bowels into healthy action, and restores the arrp. tite and vigor. They purify the blood, and, by thrj stimulant action on the circulatory system, ren ate the strength of the body, and restore the wasted or diseased enersries of the whole organism. Hence an occasional dose is advantageous, eren though no serious derangement exists : but on necessary dosing should never be earned too hr, as every purgative medicine reduces the strength. when Liken to excess. The thousand cases in wnica a physic is required cannot be enumerated here, but they suggest themselves to the reason of eerr body ; and it is confidently believed this pill wu answer a better purpose than any thing which ha$ hitherto been available to mankind. When their virtues are once known, the public will no longet doubt what remedy to employ when in need of a cathartic medicine. Being sugar-wrapped, they are Eleasant to take, and being purely vegetable, & arm can arise from their use in any quantity. For minute directions, see wrapper on the Box.- rKF.PAKED BY DK. This remedy has won for Itself such notoriety from its cures of every variety of pulmonary diseaw, that it is entirely unnecessary to recount the ca dences of its virtues in any community where it. has been employed. So wide is the field of its cse fulness, and so numerous the eases of its evm, that almost every section of the country .abounds in persons publicly known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate diseases of the lungs by its use. When once tried its superiority over every other medicine of its kind is too appa-' rent to escape observation, and where its virtuware known, the public no longer hesitate what antidote to employ for the distressing and dangerous affec tions of "the pulmonary organs which are incident to our climate. Not only in formidable attarli upon the lungs, but for the milder varieties of Colds, Covghs, Hoarseness, 4c. ; and for Chh. dhex it is the pleasantest and safest medicine tut can be obtained.
