Directed to the Commissioners of Pawnee County will
be received from and after this date, until the flist Mon
day in July next. For the erection of a Court Home
in Pavnce City, Pavcnte County, K. T., of the fol
low ing dimensions and style namely :
Said house to be thirty feet long and twenty-fonr feet
wine, two stories high, the lower story to be divided into
four apartment, in one end two rooms twelve feet
square, a hall through the center eight feet wide. In
the other end a room ten feet wide by 24 feet long;
a plainopen staircase leading from the hall to the Court
Room alK-ve; said Court Room to be twenty by twenty
foiirfeet and projierly seated in plain style. The re
mainder of the upper story to be divided into two equal
sized rooms, two outside doors three feet wide, six leet
eight inches high, one and three-fourth inches thick; C

This mill commands the universal admiration of saw
mill men everywhere. As its merits become known, tbe
demand for it increases. Orders arc coming from every
section of this country, Canada, Cuba, and South Ameri
ca. It is suited for every section of the world wherever
there is timber to be sawed, no matter of what character
how hard, how large or how small. Two extensive ma
nufactories arc now engaged in building these mil Is. yet
it is almost impossible to turn them out as fast as they
are wanted. They embrace several valuable patents
and improvements, and combine all of tbe following ad
Simplicity Both the mill and power are so simple in
their construction that any one of ordinary mechanical
ability can comprehend them, put them up and run them
without danger or difficulty.
Portability Tlie whole establishment can be very
quickly taken apart and put together, thus rendering it
easv to be moved from place tu place asdesired. and av
ing the necessity of drawing the logs a long distan -c to
Durability It is constructed in the most solid and
substantial manner, rum perfectly still, is not liable to
get out of order, and will last for years without repnir.
Rajndity It will saw faster than any other upright
upright mill. The speed of the saw is about three hun
dred strokes per minute, and the feed from one-eighth to
three-quarters of an inch per stroke. Thus, at a medium
speed the saw will cut through a log twenty-four feet
long in about three minutes. From this data any one
knowing the character of the timber can calculate how
much it will do.
Ejfiiciency It does its work well, cuts smoother and
straighter than the ordinary mills, at.d thearrancemnit
of the saw is such as to reader it utterly impossible lor
it t run out of line.
Cheapnest The entire iost of the mill, with fifteen
horse power and everything all complete and ready for
running, boxed and ready for shipment iu St. Louis, is
only $1.7oO.
This mill requires less power to drive than any other
mill, and the power furnished is sunk-ient to drive extra
machinery.
