'lliia ha been prepared to niect that demand, and an ejtten- aive trial or its virtaes nas conc:nwveij snownwun what 8'jcceM it accmmlishes the pnrpo? detisned. It is eay to make a physical pill, but not easy to make the best of a I vitlt one which should have none f the obiwtnnK. but all the advantacer. of even' other. Ihia hna been attempted hera, and with tvhat success we wotild respectfully submit to the nublic decision. It haa been unfortunate for the Tnt etit hitherto that almost every purgative medicinij is aenmoi ioas and lmtatintr to the tow els. ITiis is net. Many of thenr. produce so much frripinjt pain and revu mon in the system as to more than counterbalance the good to be derived from them. These pill piwluce no irritation or pain, unless it arise froo a previously existing obstruc tion or dcranpeniei.t in the bowels. Being purely vegetable, no hsrm csn arise from their use in any ; ouantitv : but it is better that any medicine should be taken judiciously. Minute directions for their use in the sevural diteases to which they are ap- nlica'ule are erven on the box. Among the com- nlaints whib have bwrn soeedilv cured by them, we may mention Liver Ctmipiaint, in its various forms of Jaundice, Indigestion, Languor and Ioss of Ap petite, ListlcssnesB, Irritability, Bilious Headache, Bilious Fever,' Fetor and Ague, Pain in th? Hide and I)ins : for. in truth, all these are but the con- seatience of diseased action in the liver. As an aperiimt they alFord prompt and sure relief hi Cos tiveness, Piles, Coiic, Dysentery, Humors, Scrofula and curvr, Colds uith soreness of the touy, Ulcers and fcnrmnty of the blood, Irregularities ; in short, tit and -rr cane where a nursatiTe is reiuired. ThT have a'.90 produced aome singularly sue- eessMl cures in itneurrausm, uoui, iropsy, uwei, Krvsinelas. Palnitation of the tne wean, i ains m tne Back, Stomach, and Side. They should be freely taken in the spring of the year, to purify the blood and prepare the system for the change of seasons. An occasional dose stimulates the stomach and bowels into healthy action, and restores the appe tite and vigor. They purify the blood, and, by their stimulant action on the circulatory system, reno vate the strength of the body, and restore the wasted or diseased energies of the whole organism. Hence an occaiional dose is advantageous, eveii though no serious derangement exists ; but un necessary dosing stou'd never be carried too far, as every purgative medicine reduces the strength, when taken to excess. The thousand cases in which a phytic is required cannot be enumerated here, but they suggest themselves to the reason of eery body : and it is conficently believed this pill will answer a better purpose than any thing which has hitherto been available to mankind. When their virtues are once known, the public will uo longer doubt what remedy to employ when in need of a cathartic medicine. Bomg sugar-wrapped, they are pleasant to take, and being purely vegetable, no harm can arise from their use m any quantity. For minute direction, see wrapper on the Box Pit K1A KKD BY DE. JAMES C.
