lialn Street
By the iniomitaUe energy and. perse
verance of cur "City " Fathers," Main
Street has become the principal thorough
fire to ther interior, leading west. The
Ireet, ttumpt and brush hare been cleared
way, an 'easy grade made, the ravines
and hollows' filled -tip, and a good, sub
stantial bridge constructed over the west
branch of City Creek.
However, allow us to make a very im
portant suggestion to the City Council,
viz.: At the foot of Main street you will
notice it is quite difficult for a heavy load
. cd team to ascend 'from the levee onto
the street.. The expense attending this
little improvement would be trifling, and
we hope the mere .suggestion, or calling
mention to it will .be suScient. Letit be
ione! What say yen, gentlemen? "

Messrs. K.mebsoh At Co Gentlemen : I ksve tried
