there is timber t be sawed, no niatteT of what character
how hard, how large or how small. Two extensive ma
nufaciories are now eu:asel in building these mills, yet

are wanted. They embrace several valuable puects
and im;irovcmei.ts, and combine all cf the followirp ad
vantaees :
Simplicity Both the mill and powct arc so simple in
their construction that suy olc of orcinary mechanical
ability can comprebend them, put taeni up and run Uiem
without d,n;er or diaicuiiy.
JPorcW.'fri Tlie whole etsblishnient can be very
quickly taten apart and put tvf.-etb.ar, thus render.ns it
easy to be moved Irom place t. place a desired, and sav

. Durability It is constructed in the most solid and
substantial manner, runs perfectly sUM. is not liable to
got out of order, and will last for year without repiiir.
Rapidity It will saw fater than sny otter upriat
upright nail. The speed of the saw is about three hun

three-quarters of an inch per htroke. Thus, at a meJiam
Kpeedthesaw will cut through a lo twetity-rour -leet
Ion? in ?.t-at three tiinntes. Trom this data any one
knowing the character of the timber can calculate how

Lfiricncylt des its work well, cuts smoother and

Editor "yebmiika Adrertiter:
Dear Sik: In looking over the last number of yonr
paper a notice attracted my attention signed by
Jerome Hoover, Esq., in which he states that certain
stories urein ciroulation that the undersigned claim
some interest in Nemaha City for the purjxwe of in
juring its prosperity. It may do quite well to cir
culate a report of that nature where the facie arc
unknown, but to tuose laioning the facts such a
statement is merely foolish.
And for the purpose of giving a fair opportunity
to persons to ascertain the fa:tn wc hereby warn all
persons from purchasing any pretended claita or
interest in the said town of Nemaha City, from the
sai l Jerome IIooveT, as he has sold and received pay
for nine- twelfths of said town, and suit is now pending
to place the undersigned in possessionem the interest
Ly them purchased in the same; and they have not
authorized the said Hoover to rcl! or dispose of any
portion of their interest, but directed suit to be
