This haa been prepai-ed to meet that demand, siTe trial of its virtues has conclusively shown wita what success it accomplishes the purpose designed. It is ea?y to nake a physical jnfcbut "ot.W make the best cf nil pHU onewhich should hav none of the objections, but alFlhe advantages, of every other. This has been attempted here, and -with what Micecs we would respectfully submit to the public deriwon. It has been unfortunate jot the patient hitherto that almost every purgative medicine is acrimonious and irritating to the bow els. This is not. Many of them produce so ranch griping pain and revulsion in the system as to more than counterbalance the good to be derived from them. These fiUs produce no irritation or pain, unless it ariuo from a previously existing obstruc tion or derangement in the bowels. Being purely vegetable, noThnrm can arise from their use in ant quantity ; but it is tetter that any medicine should be taken judiciously. Minute directions for their use in the several "diseases to which, they are ap plicable are given on the box. Among the com plaints which hnve been speedily cured by them, we may mention Liver Complaint, in its various forms of Jaundice, Indigestion, Languor and Loss of Ap petite, listlessness, Irritability, Bilious Headache, BiBous Fever, Fever and Ague, Pain in the Side and Loins ; for, in truth, all these are but the con sequence of diseased action in the liver. As an aperient they afford prompt and sure relief in Cos tiveness. Piles, Colic, Dysentery, Humors, Scrofula and Scurvy, Cobb with soreness of the body, Ulcers and impurity of the blood, Irregularities ; in short, anv and every case where a purgative is required. They have also produced some singularly suc cessful cures in Rheumatism, Gout, Dropsy, Gravel, Erysipelas, Palpitation of the Heart, Pains in the Back, Stomach, and Side. They should be freely taken in the sining of the year, to purify the blood and prepare the system for the change of seasons. An occasional dose stimulates the stomach, and bowels into healthy action, and restores the appe tite and rigor. They purify the blood, and, by their stimulant action on the circulatory system, reno vate the strength of the body, and restore the wasted or discjited energies of the whole organism. Hence an occasional dose is advantageous, even though no serious derangement exists; but un necessary dosing should never be carried too far, as every purgative medicine reduces the strength, when taken to excess. The thousand cases in which a physic is required cannot be enumerated here, hut they suggest themselves to tne reason oi every body ; and it is confidently believed this pill win answer a oeuer purpobe iuau an, nun-u ui i hitherto been available to mankind. When their t A . j. .1 .V. C n. V C ni Vn. I virtues fire once known, the public will no longer doubt what remedy to employ when in need of a cathartic medicine. Being sugar-wrapped, they are pleasant to take, and being purely vegetable, no harm can arise from their use m any quantity. For minute directions, see wrapper on the Box , PREPARED BY ' DR. JAMES C. It is unnecessary to spealr particularly of the merits of these Machines, as they are too well known throughout the country to need extolling; but the fact that they have heretofore and are continuing to receive the premiums at the State and County Fairs where they have besn exhibited is sufficient to induco all those in want of such a Ma chine, to purchase one of these. . f 'At a practical test of this Separator incompetition with the best of those made in England, in 1S53, it received the highest commendations of the press, and f the leading grigulturaf.sts of that country. I have a large number of them on hand, ready for the coming crop, made of the best material, and war ranted to do. good work. I have made many valuable improvements in these machines within the last year, and have no hesitation in warranting them superior to any in use. I am also preparing a large number of Crawford's Improved Clover llnllers, patented in 185 i, which are greatly superior to his patent of 1814, being in itself feeder, and greatly ahead of it in other respects. They will be manu factured under the immediate sujervision of the patentee, who hs permanently located in this place.
