TOE ALL TEE PUEPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIC. Theee hns long existed a public demand for an eflWtivft nureative till which could lie relied on as sure and perfectly safe in its operation, ltus has been prepared to meet mat uemajiu, m sive trial of ita virtues has conclusively shown wuth what success it accomplishes the purpose designed. It i easy to make a physical pill, biifr-not easy to make the best of all pUlt one which should hive none of tho objections, but all the advantages, of every other. This has been attempted here, and with what Kncccss we would respectfully submit to the public decision. It has been umonunaie ior the patient hitherto that almost every purgative medicine is scrimonioua miu uiimuuu w els. This is not. Many of them produce so much griping pain and revulsion in the system as to more than counter balance tne gooa io De acrncu uio them. These villi produce no irritation or pain, unless it arise from a previously existing obstruc tion or derangement in tne uoweis. ccing puimy vegetable, no harm can arise from their use m any quantity ; but it is better that any medicine should be taken judiciously. Minute directions for their use in the several diseases to wmca mej axe ap plicable are given on the box. Among the com plaints which have been speedily cured by them, we may mention Liver Complaint, in its various forms of Jaundice, Indigestion, Languor and Iass of Ap petite, Listlessness, Irritability, Bilious Headache, Bilious Fever, Fever and Ague, Pain in the Side and Loins ; for, in truth, all these are but the con sequence of diseased action in the liver. As an aperient they afford prompt and sure relief in Cos tivencss. Piles, Colic, Dysentery, Humors, Scrofula and Scurvy, Colds with soreness of the body, Ulcers and impurity of the blood, Irregularities ; in short, any and every a-e where a purgative is required. lhev have also produced some smguiariy suc cessful cures in Rheumatism, Gout, Dropsy, Gravel, J'.rvsipelas, i alpitation ot tne neari, rams m me Back, Stomach, and Side. They should be freely taken in the spring: of the year, to purify the blood and prepare the system for the change of seasons. An occasional dose stimulates the stomach and bowels into healthy action, and restores the appe tite and vigor. 1 hey purify the blood, and, by their stimulant action on the circulatory system, reno vate the strength of the body, and restore the wasted or diseased energies of the whole organism. Hence an occasional dose is advantageous, even thouch no serious derangement exists : but nn necessary dosing should never be carried too far, as every purgative medicine reduces the strength, when taken to excess. The thousand cases in w hich a physic is required cannot be enumerated here, but they suggest themselves to the reason of every body ; and it is confidently believed this pill will answer a better purpose than any thing which has hitherto been available to mankind. When their virtues are once known, the public will no longer doubt what remedy to employ when in need of a cathartic medicine. Being sugar-wrapped, they are pleasant to take, and being purely vegetable, no darm cai. arise from their use in any quantity. x or minute directions, see wrapper on the Uox l'KKl'AKED III DR. So wide is the field of its nse- fulness, and so numerous tle cases of its -cures, that almost everv section of the country abounds in persons publicly known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate diseases of the lungs by its t.se. JAV.r.Al L XXAWJL A VJit rpiIE SUBSCRIBER, is now prepared ta to JL nish Farmers and others with his .CrliAlN SEPARATOR," for the present season. It is unnecessary to spea) particularly of the merits of these Macbinps, as they are too welt known throughout tho country to need extolling; but the fact that they have heretofore and are continuing to receive the premiums at the State and County Fairs where they have been exhibited is sufficient to induce all those in want of such a Ma chine, to purchase one of these. At a practical test of this Separator in competition with tbe best of those made in England, in 1853, it received the highest cemmendations of theprcs, and of the leading grigulturalists of that country. I have a large number of them cn hand, ready for he coming crop, made of the best material, and war ranted to do good work. I have made many valuable improvements in these machines within the last year, ajid have no hesitation in warranting them superior to any in use. Ism also preparing a large number of Crawford's Improved Clover HuIIers, patented in 1851. which are greatly superior to his patent of 1844, being in itself feeder, and greatly ahead of it in other respocts. They will be manu factured under theimmediate supervision f the patentee, who h s permanently located in this phve. The above cut represents my four horse 44 Separa tor," and is designed especially for the fanner's own use." Im also agnt for McCormiek's celebrated REAP ER and MOWING MACHINE. combined. J. R.
