Mr. Richardson, who we announc ed several weeks ago as having been appointed Governor of Nebraska vice M. W. Izard it appears declines the annointment. Gov. "Izard has been ordered back to resume his duties, and is now again at Ins post m Umaha, where he will undoubtedly remain until the expiration ot Ins term, at least. Land Office. About a cart load ot Jiooks, Locu- ments, and papers for the Nemaha Land Office arrived by mail on Satur day last. The Plat Books have not yet arrived, but are looked for hourly. We learn from the Holt county news of the 10th that a somewhat serious difficulty occured atDonaphan, Kansas, on the 4th, between J. R. Boyd, and J. Mitchell. The parties being one each of the recent contending parties . i in that Territory, considerable ex citement ensued, and was feared would increase until it would assume a serious aspect. We hope, however, to hear all has been hushed up. Atrar goes the "Back Bone." Hon. G. "W. T., met in Convention at Pawnee City June 20th, 1857, for the purpose of nominating candidates for office to be eiectea at the ensuing August election. At 2 P.
