across the .Missouri luvcr at the City of Brown
ville, Nebraska, and open the Season with a
new substantial and commodious Ferry Boat.
run by Horse Power, which arrangement will secure
certain ' passage at, all times and in all kinds of
weather i The Proprietors do not assert boastingly,
or for the purpose of gaining custom merely, but are
governed by facts, when they say this is the best
crossing .of the Missouri River in Nebraska, and
when they say the route from Brownville to Fort
Kearney and from thence to California is tho nearest,
for evidence they refer the reader to the map of the
Country; and are warranted in saying it is the most
practicable r onto by personal experience, as well as
that of hundreds of others who have traveled it.
We claim therefor that this crossing and route holds
out peculiarly favorable inducements,-to persons
going to California, and solicit their patronage. Not-
wiuisuuiaing our superior arrangements lor a sate
and speedy crossing, ourjeharges are the same as other
ferries in AebraBka, all being regulated by Legisla
tive enactment. 1 r
