TaS Kriegsamt meldete gestern '.'Idend Folgendes: , Heute Nachmittag wurde die letzte feindliche Stellung auf den Halten östlich der Tunaiee und Biala F,üsse von uns grikürrnt. Tarnow wurde von uns beute früh gestürmt. Jnfol des anbaltend schönen Wetters und dank unserer tapferen Truppen ist es uns gelungen, eine Stellung nach der anderen dem Feinde abzur nen. Dem Vormarsch der verbündeten Oesterreicker und Teutschen wird deutsch.österreichische Angriff überall erfolgreich ist. Tie Russen sind überall geworfen. , Tie russischen Vertreter in den Ländern der Al liirten und Neutralen behaupten, dasz die Siege 'der Lesterreicher und Teutschen übertrieben sind, und man ist gespannt auf den Bericht des russischen Generalissimus Großfürst Nikolaus. (Tiefer Bericht wird na türlich wieder zum ; Uebelmerden sein.) Tie Teutschen beanspruchen fer Tie melden, daß sie südöstlich von ?)pern weiter vordringen. Dieses aber wird von General French in Abrede gestellt. (Will dieser Prahl, haus seinen Job" behalten, dann muß er frisch drauf los lügen und seine Niederlagen beschönigen. Er meldet, daß den Deutschen die er oberten Stellungen auf Höhe 60 zum großen Theil wieder abgerun gen sind. Es heißt jedoch, daß die Deutschen sich z,l einem gewaltigen Vorstoß auf Ipern rüsten, welches als Schlüssel zu den französischen Küstenslädten betrachtet wird. Die Pall Mall Gazette" schreibt Fol. gendes: Es ist Unsinn zu behaup ten, daß Ipern mehr von politischer wie militärischer Bedeutung ist. (Damit wird dem offiziellen Au genzeugen", dessen Bericht wir ge stern veröffentlichten, heimgeleuchtet.) Die .Deutschen würden die Erobe rung Apcrns höher anschlagen, wie irgend eine andere Waffenthat feit der Einnahme Antwerpens. Falls den Deutschen die Einnahme Fperns gelingen sollte (wird gemacht), müs. sei, wir diese Thatsache sofort voll würdig anerkennen und zugeben, daß diese Niederlage eine schwere ist. Anstatt eines Parteikabinetts muß dann sofort ein Nationalministerium gebildet und eine neue Kricgöstcucr erhoben werden. Glücklicherweise ist vorläufig noch kein Rückzug von ?)pern zu erwarten (is that so!), viel weniger ein Vormarsch der Deutschen auf Dünkirchcn und Calais. (Schlcch. te Rechner, die Redakteure der Pall Mall Gazette"; haben die Deutschen erst mal Apern, dann sind sie in acht Tagen in Calais und nehmen alles, was zwischen Dünkirchen und Calais liegt, im Schwupp gefangen.) Die Deutschen beanspruch!!,, fer ner bedeutende Vortheile im Wocvre Distrikt. Nördlich von St. Mihiel wollen sie 2000 Franzosen gefangen genommen haben (stimmt wie das Tipfelchen über den, i) und daß sie alle Angriffe der Franzosen abschlu gen. Premierminister Asquith gab in seiner Rede im Parlament kuud, daß bis Sonntag 20.000 Mann auf der Halbinsel Gallipoli gelandet worden waren (die kommen wieder, soweit sie nicht todt sind, kntmm und lahm gel schössen nach Hause.) - . Tie Folge dieses Vorstoßes f war der Rückzug, der Russen aus den westlichen Karpathen in östlicher Richtung.- Alle Anzeichen deuten m darauf hin, daß die Niederlage ber Russen eine vcrmchtendezu werden beginnt und daß man von einer Ce fälirdung der ungarischen Lande nicht mehr, sprechen kann. Die Russen schweigen sich, wie dieg zu erwarten war, über diese Kämpfe völlig aus, errangen dafür aber im Kaukasus einen Sieg" über die Türken, der, wie mit Sicherheit an zunehmen ist, nicht mit dem Schwer te, sondern mit dem Bleistift errun gen wurde.
