The good land of the middle northern states can not be purchased now at prices that will net a better return than 5 to 8 per cent on the invest ment, for the prices of farm lands in these regions have about reached a level commensurate with their earn ing power. The people who have mado money up north are the ones who secured their land when the price was low and who waited long years for the country to settle up. One Crop Has Paid for Land The wise man knows that he can not make much money by buying high-priced land in the older settled communities, and that is the reason he is seeking newer opportunities. He knows that It Is a practical impossi bility to duplicate the success of his father or grandfather on the same ground. That's why he is seeking opportunities in newer sections, where land Is bound to rls in value as tho country is settled. That's why so many are coming to buy. the La Lomita Lands at Mission, in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of tho Gulf Coast Country, where many growers have mado enough money from one crop to pay for their land. Conditions Mean Fortunes The La Lomita Lands at Mission offer the best opportunity for a hap py home and the accumulation of wealth. Wo do not know of a tract of land anywhere in the United States (ana we have seen most of them) where the conditions are so favorable for tho farmer, fruit raiser and truck grower, c whero his labor and investment promises such rich returns. We have farmers here who are making $200 to $500 per acre net from one season's crop, who are making enough in cash returns to pay good interest even if tho land cost them from $500 to $1,000 per acre. Reasons for Rich Returns With a climate unsurpassed any where, with the rich alluvial soil ranging in depth from 15 to 30 feet, with unlimited irrigation water from W&rir gPrfpVt 'rvt '7f "BKay 4Dj I-'XJBH-' JTi'3 ife'' ' X2 s K'--' "SZMmyMSri J2$$& -- "' '" ""rin" "" tt m r-i"rrr-rnitmmtm.immnmH.immu .i.i.j'lj.i MA5T3!2&!vCr'aP.T' " "" " -A. 2 yvVt A jvCnr'AxrA"'.SJAX''n?
