attended a conference of the Na
tional Mid-Century Committee for
Children and Youth which met at
the Shoreland hotel here last
week.
They were Atty. Sadie T. M.
Alexander, Philadelphia; De Ben
jamin E. Mays, president of More
house college; Ernest E. Neal,
Council on Rural Life, Tuskegee
institute; Carter W. Wesley, pub
lisher, Houston, Tex., and Dr. Ira
De A. Reid, Haverford college.
Leonard W. Mayo was chairman
of the meeting which is an out
growth of the White House Con
ference for Children and Youth,
which met in Washington last
year. Delegates at the meeting
represented various state advisory
committees.
