Mrs. Eugenia Brown, who spent
several days visiting her parents
and friends last week, returned
to Hawkins, Texas, Wednesday.
She was accompanied by her
mother, Mrs. A. E. Simms, and
her son, Michael.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Clifton
and daughter, Kathryn, of Detroit,
Mich., spent a few days the past
week in Lincoln. On their return
trip they will stop in St. Louis,
Missouri, to see Mrs. Brevy
Miller.

Mrs. Bertha Smith, grandmother
of Mrs. Maurice Russell, the for
mer Loretta McWilliams, has re
turned home after attending the
wedding of her granddaughter on
Saturday. '
Also attending the wedding
were Mr. Jame'- Scott and six
of his family, of Omaha.

Rev. R. H. Powell left Thursday
to visit relatives and friends in
Mississippi.

Mrs. Ralph Johnson and chil
dren have returned after spend- (
ing several days in Arkansas.

Woods, sr., of Muskeegon, Michi-,1
gan, are visiting with friends and
relatives for a few weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin White of
Denver, Colorado, spent a few
days in Lincoln recently. Mrs.
White is the former Mattie Sue

Miss Dorothy Hampton, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Perr£
of Marshall, Texas, became the
bride of Victor Brown, son of Mr
and Mrs. George Brown of Kil
dare, Texas, Wednesday, August
29, at the home of Mr. and Mrs
A. E. Simms.
Rev. J. B. Brooks officiated at
the 10 a.m. ceremony. The bride
wore a street length dress of or
chid organdy with a corsage of
white asters.
For traveling to Wyoming the
bride wore a navy blue suit with
matching accessories.
Mrs. Brown is a June graduate
of Wiley College, Marshall, Texas.

Fred Nevels.

ing elder of the Omaha District
of the Nebraska Conference of
the A.M.E. cHurch, held his fourth
and final quarterly meeting at
Quinn Chapel church on Sunday
evening. The Rev. J. B. Brooks
is pastor.

came the proud parents of a baby
girl last week. Her name is Eliz
abeth Jean.
Miss Geraldine Reeves of Coun
cil Bluffs, Iowa, spent Sunday in
Lincoln as guest of Mr. Woodson

Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Dungen
became the proud parents of a
baby girl August 20, 1951. Her
