Present-Day Application by Frederick D, Jordan, Los Angeles, Calif. It was on Thursday, the day before the Crucifixion, that the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper was instituted. We eat and drink in remembrance of Him, our Sa vior. He meant for all His People for all times to remember that He had given Himself wholly to them and for them. The Lord’s Supper holds a vital place in the life of the Christian and the church. It is not only a service of com munion with Christ but also a service of communion with one another ,a place where the joy of Christian fellowship should reach its climax. Jesus took the common everyday act of eating and made of it an act of fellow ship and worship. There is a deep human instinct that having given or received hospitality, you must not injure or betray. When ever you have eaten with another something has happened between you. Every meal is in a sense a sacrament. Jesus lifted this meal into the symbolism of His cove nanted love to His own and their avowal of unfaltering loyalty to Him. We must remember that the very next day He went to the cross and His death. It remains for us to carry out a like fidelity in our part of the covenanted con tract. Delegates Elected Clayton P.
