A quartet group of young high school boys features Booker McDaniels, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. B. T. McDaniels former resident of Lincoln, as lead singer. The program will begin at 3 o’clock. * * * Visiting Mr. and Mrs? Joseph Adams Sunday were Mrs. Mary Adams, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Give hand and daughter of Nebraska City, Nebraska. * * * Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Williams, sr., over the week-end were Mrs. B. T. McDaniels and daughter Pat, Mrs. M. J. Brad ford and daughters Gladys, and Jeannie all of Omaha. * * • Sunday afternoon persons gathered for a fellowship meet ing at Christ Temple church with Rev. H. A. Simmons and church in charge. Others churc es participating were Christ Temple, Newman and Quinn Chapel. The program was as follows: Scripture by Rev. T. O. McWilliams, jr., Invocation, Rev. J. B. Brooks, Sermon, Rev. Mel vin L. Shakespeare. The Quinn Chapel senior choir furnished the music. Others ministers taking part were Rev. R. G. Nathan, and Rev. Simpson. * * # Mrs. James King is home after being hospitalized for several days. * * * Mrs. Eugene R. Edwards was called out of the city recently due to the illness of an uncle. Mrs. Beulah Botts Scalloped Tomatoes and Cheese 2 cups canned tomatoes. 3 cups soft bread crumbs. 1 teaspoon salt. Vi teaspoon pepper. 1 teaspoon sugar. 2 cups grated cheese. Season tomatoes with salt, pep per and sugar. Arrange alternate layers of tomatoes, bread crumbs and cheese in a baking dish. Dot the top with bits of butter and bake in a moderate, \350-degree, >ven for about 30 minutes. Cake Crumbs Top Sundae Here is an idea for an ice cream sundae that is a favorite of children and adults alike. Com bine crumbs from a bakers’ cake with chopped almonds. Spread mixture on a cookie sheet and toast for 10 minues in a moderate oven. Sprinkle generous amounts of the cake crumb mixture over vanilla ice cream, or pass it in a separate dish and let everyone help himself.
