With the home season of our
Huskers all over, we look back
over the year and think of the
many thrills the boys of Coach
Bill Glassford gave us. While
losing one to date the home slate
has only one tie game against its
otherwise clean slate, so those of
us who didn’t journey to Colorado
witnessed an almost all victorious
Husker team.
Saturday was a battle of de
fenses. This is what the fans were
crying for, and that’s what they
got as the Iowa State Cyclones
went down after a stubborn
battle, in which Bobby Reynolds
was throttled and held down to
eight points, his lowest thus far
this season.
This week the Cornhuskers go
to Norman, Okla., to meet a strong
University of Oklahoma team
that is riding on a twenty-nine
game winning streak. Can the
Husktrs stop them and end the
streak? Well in other years they
have stopped Sooner teams and
they might do it again. Here’s
hoping.
