Dear Readers:—
I would like and appreciate so
much if you will call and give me
your favorite recipe and if I may
suggest recipes that fit the season
of the year. For instance right now
the dandelion greens are at their
best and the many other wild
greens such as dock pepper-grass,
wild tomato, wild lettuce, wild
turnip etc. This is my recipe for
Dandelion greens cooked—Clean
thoroughly the amount of greens
necessary and this requires lots
and lots of washing, so they are
absolutely free from dirt and
gravel. Have a vessel full of boil
ing water, add greens and
tablespoon soda. Boil just five
minutes, pour in a colander drain

thoroughly, then in a kettle which
you have cooked salt pork or
bacon rinds, so that you have
about 4 cups of broth. Place
greens in and cook slowly about
one hour, salt to taste. Serve
with sliced hard boiled eggs,
pepper sauce and your favorite
cornbread.
CARD OF THANKS:
I wish to thank the many
friends who sent cards, flowers,
gifts and the other kind expres
sions during my recent accident.
